Where Do I Go When I Have a Sore Throat?
Did you know that more than 3 million cases of strep throat are diagnosed each year among Americans? That’s a lot of sore throats!
Fortunately, a sore throat doesn’t always have to mean strep. Our team at AFC Urgent Care TN wants to share some insight into the causes of sore throats and when to seek medical attention.
What Is a Sore Throat?
When you experience any type of pain in the throat, it is known as a “sore throat.”
However, when you have strep throat, you usually also have a variety of other symptoms, including fever, fatigue, chills, white spots on the throat, headache and/or trouble swallowing.

When Should I See a Doctor?
